Community Guidelines

dougoh is about getting out and doing something. These rules keep it safe for everyone. Breaking them can cost you your account.
Look after each other
dougoh pushes you to talk to people, try things and get out of your comfort zone. That only works if everyone stays respectful. Read the room. Anyone can say no, and no is the end of it.
No harassment or bullying
Do not target, follow, pressure, intimidate, humiliate or repeatedly contact anyone. Do not turn a challenge into something at somebody else’s expense. If a stranger is not enjoying it, stop.
No dangerous challenges
Never invent, share or complete a challenge that risks someone’s safety. That includes anything involving driving dangerously, heights, fire, weapons, drugs, drinking games or excessive alcohol, water hazards, trespassing or physical harm. If a challenge feels unsafe, skip it. Skipping never costs you anything.
No illegal activity
Do not use dougoh to plan, do or encourage anything illegal, including underage drinking, drug use, theft, vandalism or trespassing. Age restrictions in the app are not permission. Local law always applies.
No sexual or exploitative content
No sexual content, nudity or sexually suggestive challenges. No sexual advances toward people who have not invited them. Absolutely no content involving minors. This is reported and results in a permanent ban.
No hate or threats
No attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation. No slurs, no hate symbols, no violent threats against anyone.
No impersonation
Be yourself. Do not pretend to be another person, a business, a venue or dougoh staff, and do not use someone else’s photo as your profile picture.
No spam
No bulk or automated accounts, no scams, no phishing, no advertising or promotion through your profile, username or bio.
Respect venues and the law
The businesses in dougoh are real places with real staff. Follow their rules, respect their staff and other customers, pay for what you order, and leave when asked. Never encourage anyone to break a venue’s rules, sneak in, stay past closing, or break local law as part of a challenge.
What happens if you break these rules
Depending on severity, we may remove content, restrict features, suspend your account, or permanently terminate it. Serious safety issues are actioned immediately and may be reported to the authorities. Report a problem, or appeal a decision: support@dougoh.app
